Discover the cultural innovations of California on a journey around Palm Springs, the home of Modernism Week, for an unique insight into architecture, design and Californian cuisine.

Your experience will begin as the sun sets on the beautiful lawns of The Parker Palm Springs, where you’ll be warmly welcomed with drinks by the Art of Living team. Miles Nurnberger, Chief Designer of Aston Martin, will be your host for a private dinner.

The following day, there will be a design masterclass conducted by Miles at Palm Springs Art Museum. This is a unique opportunity to witness the fascinating techniques and specialised skills that go into his work and gain priceless insight into Aston Martin’s heritage and brand values.

Day three will take you to the world-famous design mecca of  Modernism Week, an annual environmentally friendly event that celebrates progressive mid-century architecture and design. Experience the Frey House II Tour, a private docent-led tour of the modernist architect Albert Frey’s residence, where you will gain unique insight into his architectural sensibilities. The Swiss-born architect constructed this extraordinary house out of cinder blocks, steel, aluminium and glass – and it sits seamlessly within its natural surroundings.

The private Vista Las Palmas tour will then follow, where you will visit a curated selection of homes belonging to locals and Hollywood A-listers. You’ll see exceptional modern design elements, all enhanced by lighting, creative furnishings and pool areas. Enjoy a VIP cocktail reception before returning to The Parker Palm Springs for the evening to relax. This is the perfect opportunity to further delve into the Aston Martin brand with the Chief Designer, and discuss the insight from your experience and key discoveries that have evolved from your trip.

Your last day draws to a close with the chance to explore Palm Springs further. From a private picnic and drive into Joshua Tree National Park to a gastronomic lunch overlooking the stunning scenery, our Art of Living specialists are on hand to meet your every need, and additional activities are available upon request.
