Experience California from behind the wheel of an Aston Martin on exhilarating drives along open roads, across vast, expansive desert. Discover Palm Springs’ avant-garde design heritage and witness the ethereal beauty of the desert light and landscape. Gain insight from  Miles Nurnberger, the Chief Exterior Designer for Aston Martin, and renowned photographer, Tim Street-Porter, as they share their artistic inspirations.

With the iconic Jonathan Adler-designed Parker Palm Springs as your base, you will be transported back to the glamorous era of 1960s California to celebrate the Sunshine State and its fascinating history.

Your Art of Living hosts will welcome and introduce you to Aston Martin’s fabulous fleet of cars, in preparation for your drive. You will then have time to explore and make the most of The Parker, with its traditional American Lemonade Stand, English Croquet lawn and French Boules court. The evening will be hosted by Miles Nurnberger, beginning with a cocktail reception on the hotel lawns, before dinner in the stunning private suite.

The following day get set for a thrilling drive and a fascinating session in conversation with Tim Street-Porter. The drive will take in panoramic views and the best of the scenery, as you travel through the world-famous Joshua Tree National Park. The Q&A with the LA-based photographer, Tim Street-Porter, will highlight his passion for the region’s diverse architecture and landscapes as he shares his tips on capturing the perfect camera shot here. Miles will also offer invaluable insight on how the unique desert light of California has been of particular inspiration to him in his designs for Aston Martin.

The evening begins with a drinks reception, followed by dinner in the sumptuous Mister Parker restaurant, whose dark panelled walls recall the feel of Prohibition-style gentlemen’s clubs, in stark contrast to the Pop Art and late 60s abstracts dotted around the space.

Over the course of the following two days, you will experience another unforgettable drive as you put your Aston Martin to the test, heading towards Big Bear Lake via Sugar Loaf Mountain. This will be followed by an exclusive private architectural tour, during which you will hear fascinating stories about this area’s distinctive design heritage.

Your final evening will be spent on the lawns of The Parker, for a private dinner and menu created especially to honour Art of Living guests. How better to end this extraordinary experience than by watching the sun set, swapping stories with other Art of Living guests and chatting to Miles Nurnberger? The perfect way to seal your Californian experience with Aston Martin.
